Learning Goals

Learning Goal:

You will learn several methods of categorizing substances as either acids or bases. You will learn how to determine if an acid is weak or strong, how to use the pH scale, and how to calculate equilibrium constants. You will learn about polyprotic acids and bases, the concept of hydrolysis, and how structure and bonding affect relative strengths of acids and bases.
